Jewish Literacy BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
This class, meeting with Rabbi Klein, will slowly, but surely, move through Joseph Telushkin's best -seller, Jewish Literacy - a compendium of "the most important things to know about the Jewish religion, its people, and its history." If you've been harboring any questions about Judaism, this is the place and the time to ask. Rabbi Klein will bring in supplementary materials as well, delving deeper into some of the issues raised. The focus will reflect the interest of the class, moving back and forth in the text, from the ancient to the contemporary, from the secular to the sacred. All are welcome, no matter how basic or how strong your Judaic background. Come to one session, or come to all - each one will be free standing!
Tuesdays: Oct. 12, Nov. 9, Dec. 14, Jan. 11, Feb. 15, Mar. 8, Apr. 12, May 17, June 14

Schmooze & News
Join with a member of our professional staff for an informal and lively discussion of a contemporary political or social topic. Israel and Islamic extremism; the economy; corporate responsibility for the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico; cyber bullying ... the discussion will revolve around a topic of significance, which will be announced before the session. Session-to-session there will be no continuity, so simply come and "drop by" when the mood hits you!
Sundays: Oct. 24, Nov. 7, Dec. 12, Jan. 9, Feb. 13, Mar. 13, May 15
9:30 AM
Rabbi's Bible Study Chavurah
Join Rabbi Klein for some free-wheeling discussion, with many questions, and hopefully enough answers to cover it all. We begin with the Bible (currently the Books of Samuel, having gone through the Torah two times!), but we move far beyond the Biblical text. This is a great Tuesday morning "pick me up."
Tuesdays at 10:30 AM beginning October 5
