Contributions may be made to our tribute funds to
recognize life-cycle events for our members, families or their friends. To
make arrangements, please call the Temple office and speak to Alan
Hochberg, our Temple Administrator, at 914 725-5175.
Contributions noted below with an asterisk (*) are listed in the monthly
"Shalom".
Annual Fundraiser
This special annual event chaired by volunteers from the Synagogue is an
evening extravaganza with a new theme each year.
Book of Remembrance
Once a year, on Yom Kippur, a memorial book is distributed at the Yizkor
service. Any name may be included by sending in a request form.
*Cantor's Discretionary Fund
A contribution made to the Cantor's Discretionary Fund that is used by the
Cantor for charitable or programming purposes.
General Tribute Fund
A contribution to the Synagogue for general purposes.
Endowment Fund
This fund is used to initiate new programs, or enhance on-going programs,
as we try to ensure that all congregational needs are met as we travel our
Jewish journeys.
Food Pantry Collection
A food bin located in main lobby of the Synagogue is available to receive
non-perishable food items which will be donated to the needy.
*Kol Nidre Pledges
Contributions made to the Synagogue which help pay for expenses during the
year.
*Memorial Plaque
To remember those loved ones who have died.
*Rabbi's Discretionary Fund
A contribution made to the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund that is used by the
Rabbi for charitable or programming purposes.
*R'fua Sh'Leimah Fund
A contribution in honor of the recovery of a friend or loved one.
*Tree of Life
Commemorates a happy occasion in the life cycle of our members. A new
brass
leaf with the name and date of the occasion is added to our Tree of Life.
Tzedakah Box
A Tzedakah box outside the Temple Office collects money which is given to
U.J.A., Mazon, and other worthy organizations.
*Fred Hershaft Fund
Dedicated to social action and providing help to those in need. |
