Ruth Kleinman, Youth Director  ruth.kleinman@gmail.com

Ruth Kleinman is a born and raised Long Islander from Port Washington, NY.  She spent 4 years at the University at Buffalo getting her feet wet in all aspects of campus life: Resident Advisor, Campus Tour Guide, Hillel Student President, University Student Alumni Board Event Co-Chair and Executive Board member.  She graduated with a BA in Psychology and Sociology and a minor in Judaic Studies in May of 2005.

After graduating, she spent the next year in Ohio at Hillel at Kent State University as the Jewish Campus Service Corps Fellow.  She was thrilled to make a homecoming last year and work for Hillels of Westchester as the Senior Jewish Campus Service Corps Fellow serving Jewish students at Purchase College, Pace University and Manhattanville College.  During her first year in Westchester, she was also a Youth Group Advisor at Temple Beth Israel in Port Washington, NY.  She decided to stay another year in Westchester as the Program Director for Hillel, thus giving Scarsdale Synagogue Tremont Temple the opportunity to work with her this year as the Youth Group Director.

Ruth became interested in hip hop dancing during her high school years and continues her interest in hip hop music now.  She has been a die hard hockey fan since the age of 5 when her dad took her to see the NY Rangers at Madison Square Garden.  One of her lifelong dreams was fulfilled when she met Mike Richter, former NY Rangers goalie, at the UJA Super Sunday event in February 2007.  She has always been a supporter of children's camps and has attended and worked at Camp Echo Lake in Upstate NY for 14 summers.

Ruth loves being a part of the SSTT-E family - she looks forward to hearing from youth and families interested in the Youth Group at SSTT-E.  You can usually find her Monday afternoons after Hebrew School in the Youth Lounge, or Wednesday nights meeting with the Senior Youth Group in the Youth Lounge.
