Mitzvah Day: A Chance to LEARN & DO Together!
A unique Sunday morning experience for adults, families, everyone at SSTTE! No regular Religious School classes are held, but the students receive attendance credit when they check in. This is a day for the whole community to join together in doing good for others!

Participate in a number of Mitzvah Projects:

  • Visit the Mitzvah Mall
  • Cook for the Homeless
  • Donate blood
  • Make gifts for hospitalized children and seniors
  • Walk Around The Shul to earn tzedakah money

Extend the Mitzvah Experience beyond the morning--just ask members of the Helping Hands Committee!

Bring your dad, your mom, your brother, your sister, your son, your daughter, your neighbors, your friends! Let's experience a morning of mitzvot together!!!

Vashti's Banquet
Not your average pre-Purim celebration! Cantor Chanin Becker and Rebecca Shubert, our Temple Educator, will head up this intergenerational celebration for Jewish women ages 9 to 99. Bring your daughters, your mothers, your grandmothers, your neighbors, as we unite in a tribute to feisty ladies throughout Jewish history! A light ladies' dinner and some rollicking entertainment will complete the evening's activities.

Mordechai's Feast
The other half of the pre-Purim celebration! The males of our congregation (ages 9-99) will assemble for an intergenerational event of their own. Come enjoy a festive breakfast and explore what it means to be a Jewish male with Rabbis Stephen Klein and Andrew Gordon. Bring your sons, your fathers, your grandfathers, your neighbors!
